We had a great holiday!!!! This was our third visit to this resort, so we knew what to expect, but There is a supermarket very close by, which also has a money exchange. As for Paleo itself, we have travelled around the island quite a few Can't wait for our next visit.

Date of travel: Jul 2004 We stayed at Maria studios/faro's for one week Our hosts were good down to eath bunch of characters [if you are a stuck up plonker you would not appreciate them]the weather was beautiful as was the scenery The best food we found to eat was as the Maria studios its self melt in yer mouth home cooking There also lots of beautiful bays with warm clear waters all in all somewhere we would defiantly go back And for anyone who has already f the enermy Tour Operator: Argo |
| Location: | * * * * * | Service: | * * * * * | Value for money: | * * * * * | My wife and I stayed at the Maria Studios for our holiday here in June, I had a slight accident in the shower and Yiannis and Katerina were brilliant. They went to next town to get medicine for me and they couldn't do enough. The studios are very good the food is excellent and the company unbeatable. I would recommend this place to anybody. There are also some really good bars and cafes in the town and some real characters. |

| 10/10 Everything that has been written in previous comments, I would endorse whole heartedly! We first visited Maria Studios in 2007, and enjoyed it so much that we booked again as soon as we got back. Had another fab holiday in May 2008 and looking forward to our next visit! Yiannis and his family are so welcoming, the food is excellent, the place is kept scrupiously clean, air conditioning is a real bonus and well worth 7 euros a day. | 10/10 We had a fantastic week with Yannis, Katerina and family in August 2008. Met some lovely people, if John and Debbie from Sheffield read this, Russ and Sarah say Hi. Greek night was fantastic. These apartments are located in the best part of Paleo, Yannis and family are a joy to spend time with and make you feel very welcome. Food is excellent. We have booked for June 2009. (Just heard about the XL airways bomb shell) anyone booking with Argo Holidays through Allbury Travel for next year (2009), I was told that everything will be fine and a new airline will be allocated to your holiday. We didn't stay at Maria Studios this year although we might as well of done because we spent most of our time there anyway. The owners of Maria Studios, Yiannis and Katerina were absolutely lovely people and I can't forget Bob and Jannis who work there. Great food and a lovely pool, I just wish I didn't have to go home! I would definitly reccomend Stefano's boat BBQ. We went on our last day and saw some dolphins, it definitly made our holiday. Anyone thinking of going to Paleokastritsa should definitly go for it!!! |

I can honestly say it was one of the best apartments I have stayed in. Yiannis, Katerina (who was pregnant at the time) are a great couple and work very hard. In fact the whole family are very friendly and do their best to make your holiday memorable. It was my first time visiting the Greek islands and I have longed to go back ever since. I would say it is a great place to stay for families and for couples. We travelled with Argo and the rep was very helpful. The BBQ night was fantastic and the food from the pool bar was also very good. The pool is also very clean. I would say that the Maria Studios are a great base for a holiday in Corfu and I would definitely stay there again. |
| We LOVED Paleokasritsa - Les and Angie. Date of travel: Aug 2006 The one thing I would like others to be aware of is the resort is beautiful, the scenery breathtaking but be aware it is really really hilly so not for the unfit ........ On our second day we were looking for a pool to use and we found the Faros pool bar at the top of the main road (we went by bus 10 minitues). The pool is really clean and well looked after the bar is great and the food wonderfull, the owners are Yanis and Katrina and the family, while we stayed there all day we ate lunch and everything was fantastic. When we were leaving we were asked to sign the visitor book on the bar my wife found a comment in there that summed up the place......the warmest hearts and the coldest beer this place is beautiful and the family remarkable. We will return and stay at the Faros apartments a place that must be visited and try the Saturday barbecue. Fantastic 10 out of 10 all the way. Tour Operator: Libra hollidays |

Most of the people we met had been coming here for years, some of them twice a year. Yiannis is a pyschic barman and knows what you like to drink before you do. He is a great laugh and if he likes you he will promote you to being a Dilligaf! Bob plays really great music and deserves a better music deck - how about it Yianni? All the staff work very hard and nothing is too much trouble. The pool is kept scrupulously clean, and bed linen changed several times a week. The food is cooked by Maria, Yiannis's mum and is of a very high standard. There are now aircon units to hire. BBQ and dancing on a Saturday is not to be missed. The nearest beach is less than 10 minutes walk away and the area has lots of mini-supermarkets, bars, and hire-shops. Bus stop to Corfu town opposite. The picture in the Argo brochure has been reversed and is rather old. It's now much nicer! |

One week in June and two in August - love it that much going back 2nd october for another week!! Yannis, Katerina and their family are lovely people and they make you feel so welcome. We met Bob and Janice in June - they help out here and are a lovely couple. The food here is excellent. Rooms are clean and have everything you need except air con, which you could do with in August. BBQ every sat night is really good with nice food and wine, then Yiannis does Greek dancing with his sisters, its a good night. Paleo is a lovely very beautiful resort we have been going for years now. Locals are very friendly and great with kids. Just down from Faros is Moody Blues bar which stays open till last person leaves which is normally us (6am)!! For a quiet drink go the other way to Mistral bar it has a lovely view. Will always go to Paleokastritsa and always stay at Maria Studios love it that much!!! Its little Spiros birthday the day we arrive in october. Two weeks to go can't wait. |
| we stayed here last summer June 08 , what a fab time, Katrina is so welcoming and helpful ,Yannis is behind the bar most nights with his entertaining nature. Good little mover when it comes to Greek dancing!! Yannis 's mum and dad are also around most days , very nice couple always said hello to everyone. | We've just gotten back from a fantastic week, staying with Yianni and Katerina and their family at Maria Studios. It was my husbands first time in Greece and we had a cracking time, down to the amazing welcome and friendly atmosphere! Almost everyone we spoke to had been there at least once before, some even in their 20th or 39th year of visits and it really is testiment to the hard work of Yianni and his family. We both agree it was the best holiday we have had for a long time and hope to return here for longer next year. Katarina and Yannis ensured we were well looked after and contrary to previous comments we enjoyed Yannis personality and the entertainment! The accommodation and facilities were very comfortable, clean and well maintained and we were content to spend most of our days there by the pool. The location of the studios was fine for us as we are happy to stay around local tavernas and bars which were all very nice and within walking distance. Please note that there are also the Maria Apartments but these are not the same place! Maria Studios are the ones with the bar and pool (much nicer), some photographs are incorrect and actually show the apartments! There is also plenty of transport and opportunities to go further afield if desired. We had some lovely meals home cooked by the family and thoroughly enjoyed the barbeque evening. We met some lovely people during our stay and felt it a perfect holiday for a couple, but equally there were families that seemed to be having a nice time too. We had no problems travelling with Malta Air and the transfers were on time and very comfortable. The friendliness of the family and their friends meant that we were very sad to leave and we cannot wait to return next year. |
| Well here goes!!!! all my fears about Allbury/Libra/Excel on this occasion were without substance, this trip was excellent, I will start at the beginning and hopefully assist others travelling to Marias Studios with ARGO. The flight out was with XL and was on time, in fact due to tail winds arrived 50 mins early, the plane was new and we had plenty of legroom in the standard seats, Corfu airport was Corfu airport, but the transfer was swift and trouble free. Maria Studios are centrally located and are opposite the now closed Oceanis Hotel, the family Yiannis, Katerina, Spiros and Maria not to mention the cleaning staff work hard to make your holiday special. The rooms are typically greek but with a few touches like an electric kettle, shower curtain, they were spotless, the room was cleaned every two days with the sheets being changed 3 times in the week, along with the towels. The pool and bar area were spotless, I watched the cleaning lady clean every sunbed every morning with a sponge. The bar prices were the same as other local bars and the food cooked mainly by Maria Snr, was excellent and reasonably priced. What makes this place special is the family who run it, they go further to ensure you holiday is as relaxing as you want it, Yiannis has a unique sense of humour, Katerina has a lot to cope with. The Saturday BBQ was excellent value and the food was good (we went twice) and was very entertaining. Overall, a good holiday in an excellent studio complex, in Paleo, if you are going i am sure you will enjoy!!!!! JamieSmith |
